I have recently fitted an Atoto S8 head unit which I am really happy with. The only issue I have is that when i want to play around with it I have to turn the ignition on to run it.It is wired with a constant 12 volt supply(yellow cable)and a ignition switched (red). My question is if i put a small switch to override the ignition,ie connect the red and yellow, will it cause problems elsewhere? If anyone can suggest a better way to achieve my objective,I would really appreciate it.At the moment when i turn the ignition switch on,it turns on all my dash lights, along with the daytime running lights. It also isolates my hab battery which in turn turns off cameras and mifi unit. Thanks to anyone who can assist.

Fiat Ducato?

There is a small switch/button/lever on the Steering Lock.

Holding that in as you turn the key one notch puts you in a accessory setting.

Radio on, Ignition off.

Mine is a bit like this, but not red and maybe not as large.

Red and yellow are connected on my Sprinter based Hymer, you must ofcourse remember to turn it off properly, on my Sony head unit it can be in standby displaying the time or a long press completely turns it off.

Or also add a switched wire going back the leisure battery to use that power first unless you switch it off
