Looking at an ad for a van we might possibly be interested in with Motorhome Depot, it included the following:
This vehicle is owned by SIAC Retail Limited, this means that as a potential buyer, should you purchase this vehicle, if the vehicle is not as described, of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose you may have a claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Initially we read this as SIAC Rental and were about to dismiss it as an ex-hire van, then realised our mistake.
However, Googling SIAC Retail Ltd found this quoted sentence appearing in a number of Motorhome Depot ads. It also came up with SIAC Retail listed as a company started in May 2018 with the stated nature of business being ‘sale of other motor vehicles’. However I can find no website for them where they actually have listings of any vehicles for sale.
Does anyone know who this SIAC Retail actually are? Are they maybe a part of Motorhome Depot that buys people’s vans and then sells them on, rather than just acting as a broker?
