All the gear, and no idea!
Just bought a Garmin Camper 785 as I thought the dash cam might come in useful, but in my Adria A Class I can’t seem to find any useful combination with the supplied mount (other than on the windscreen, and then I wouldn’t be able to reach it!) to put it where the camera can see out the windscreen?? Anyone have any solutions??

We’ve got the tomtom camper hasn’t got dashcam but I made up a flat piece of plastic bolted to the empty tray above our single din radio and stuck the holder to that so it sits above the radio so we can reach it from both seats.
Maybe you could adapt this idea so it sits a little higher so it can see through the windscreen.
Someone I worked with years ago took of the rearveiw mirror (box van no rear windows) and fitted the bracket on to the part that was stuck to the windscreen for his satnav

I have an A class, had a piece of hardened smoked glass shelf cut to suit the note clip or whatever it’s called on top of dash and very securely fixed it in place, works a treat for her sat nav (not a Garmin

but same size)

If you’ve got a note holder clip, we have a similar setup to Stewart J - but rather than his glass sheet, we use half a polythene clamshell CD case like this. The hinge end of the case goes under the clip, the adhesive disk that came with our Avtex satnav (badge-engineered Garmin) sticks on the round body of the case, and the satnav mount arm attaches to the adhesive disk.

I did make a Perspex sheet to go into the (non moving) clipboard on the last moho, I’ll dig it out to see if that will work. Obviously the problem I will have in regards to the dash cam is that it will have to face straight forwards and be visible at a glance whilst driving with no reflection (screen is very shiny) but food for thought👍

Here’s an update, done the same thing as you Stewart J but used an old bike number plate upside down👍 It’ll do till I find a piece of suitable glass to use, it didn’t occur to me you can have the clamps up whilst it is down, cheers👍

I removed the note holder clip thing as I never used it, underneath is a usable flat surface, I deal for the satnav holder.
