What is your van lacking that would make life much easier?

Obviously taking safety into account; would you be considered inside if within the awning or 'safari room'? (I think that's the term).
No, but not only that, it is extremely dangerous to be using naked flames within an awning anyway, so you probably don't want to be doing it.

Hmmm🤔🤔🤔
5, Built in laundry basket
Laundry baske!!!
Great point.
Should we have a new thread for what everybody does in that regard or is there one already...? Probably.
Think I'll check.
(We converted the bottom half of the wardrobe to shelves that house B&Q plastic crates, top one for shoes & handbags, next down one each for clothes & bottom one, with its lid, for laundry.)

This week, we're lacking a portable electric fence to keep the kids off our pitch 🤬 Why aren't they in school, term hasn't ended yet 🤔
Glasgow school holidays start today.

To be fair I nicked the idea off Flairy as he has a lovely old N&B flair with a built in laundry basket, if it’s not an invasion of his privacy which I totally respect, he might post a picture on here of it👍

An hour with a factory motorhome designer to offer our thoughts on how to design one.
And a non fixed stupid permanent table with a bike cable.

A deal with Autotrail where they agree to send a designer away with me for a trip and also agree to pay to fix all the motorhome issues discovered on the journey :roflmto:

Especially for west66

A larger hot water tank..heated in part from the engine whilst driving (like on boats)
On my 2007 Murvi Morello, the hot water is already heated by the engine while driving, 230v on EHU or Eberspacher off grid.

Do you want to buy a reasonably priced PVC? 😄

Something else I might fit, an external BBQ gas point so we can cook outside. Sick of buying those butane cans that leak and when you want to use it there's no gas left.
Can anyone recommend a portable gas stove? Only need a single one 🤔
Gas stove as in hob or stove as in oven? The cadac can be used as an oven, very versatile. I would also be tempted to buy a cadac trio aswell, yes it uses cannisters but adds flexibility to using the cadac away from the motorhome

An awful lot of sites no longer let you cook outside unfortunately.
We cook outside using George Foreman grill via the inverter, never had a problem ...!!

I also wish that some sites get to understand the difference between a gas BBQ and a charcoal/wood one in terms of the dangers they pose for potential fire spread.

I think some site do, the CCC for instance where Gas was allowed last time asked. 🤔

I think the person who made the comment I replied to was referring to Spanish sites, though I suspect there are plenty of sites in the UK where they ban charcoal/wood bbq's at certain times of the year

On a slightly off topic note, does anyone use Kitchen Paper to first clean all dishes, cutlery, pans if washing up in the van ? (Obviously doesn't apply if using the site facilities) Only takes 1 to 2 pieces and makes washing up easier and most importantly keeps your grey tank much much cleaner for longer ! Travelling around Europe for 3 months and has been a huge benefit. Keeps the pipes/traps much cleaner and smelling better......was shown this tip by a Kiwi we met who said they do it a lot in NZ.... When I empty the grey tap there's hardly any smell !!
Yes, we do this when the food has a lot of oil/grease, certainly makes the washing up easier and cleaner.
