A 12 km cycle along the main where crossed over from the lovely path to visit the Schloss veitshöchheim with its lovely gardens and maze. It's right over the bridge and well worthy.
We then got to the start of the romantic road at Wurzburg. It started off so promisingly by the bridge and we followed the tourist route round the town but, to us, it was just a huge shopping town with occasional nice building.
Unfortunately this one is filed under the "ticked that box" and unlikely to return. We gave up halfway round on a stiflingly hot day and it was just too much like hard work for the benefits in comparison to other places we have seen like Bamberg and Dresden. There is an aire/car park near to the town at 15 euros.
