According to Twitter the division signage is appalling

Just setting off to brave the rigors of M1 M25 and whichever we decide after that to the tunnel, anyone got an update on M20 ?
We came back from France Yesterday, Bloody Nightmare is all I can say. The signage for the diversions set up where piss poor I've never seen so many confused motorists in my life so be prepared. And Happy Travels?

No but the M1 and M25 are a pleasure to drive on today. Have just come off at a beautifully sunny St Albans. Can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to travel any further.....
..

tonka is that the 2 night ferry?

We came back last night. Knew the M20 was shut so headed back towards Dover before picking up the A259? To Canterbury. Awful road but once on the A2/M2 was fine until just before the M25 where they had closed the main slips towards Dartford tunnel. The diversion via the roundabout was not signed. I was Ok because I vaguely knew it but methinks there were a few lost souls.

Glad we avoided the M20/A20 route.

The A1 / M11 / A14 was closed the other weekend. Spent about 2 hours getting round Cambridge. Followed diversion and queued all the way down a dual carriageway only to find out the only place to go was over the bridge and back the way we had come. Don’t see why they have to block off so much. What an earth were they doing. Worst part was we didn’t see anyone doing anything. Just mile upon mile of standing / very slow moving traffic. When we finally got going everything was fine until we got to Canterbury. At one of the roundabouts over the dual carriageway they had the bridge in bits so yet another diversion but dashboard Doris found us a new route. The lanes around Canterbury are very very narrow and some have grass growing down the middle. We did wonder if we should have stayed on the signposted route

Nearly 7 hours to get from Nottingham to Canterbury

..

when we came back last-week there was diversions on and i don.t often get confused but totally lost i ended up.
then got sorted out only to find our shelf heading for central London in a 30 year old van.
another badly signed diversion.
i am lucky to have the knowledge of the aria and managed to pick up the m25 agane
bill

We are on a services now just past where the sign says M20 tunnel , heading for a260 as instructed on here, up to yet we have had the easiest run down M1 M25 a 2 we have ever had, but for anyone coming back this way the queue on the other side at Dartford was miles.

This seems to be a permanent thing these days.
And that’s with out the toll booths now, imagine how long they would be if the booths were still there.

There never seemed to be many queues when the toll booths were there. For some reason there are always long queues going north in the tunnels.

Only thing I can think that slows the traffic up through the tunnels is when they stop the traffic to escort the likes of tankers etc through.
