I fill up using the sites hose on arrival then use a slimline 5L watering can.

How long's a piece of string? :giggle:
Having the luxury of plenty of storage space I actually carry three.
One long roll flat hose on a reel, very rarely used.
One about 8-9 metres long, used fairly often.
One about 2 metres long, used frequently.
I have joining pieces that can link them all together if needed.
More important though is a cheapo plastic watering can. That can be used wherever you are.

A collection, I have a 3m and a 7m that can be linked and a 20m roll flat for emergencies when I can't get near the tap (only used twice in 10 years). You also need a collection of tap adaptors ¾bsp is the most common throughout Europe but wise to have various others.

My collection.

5metres does for us.
only once came unstuck,
we are only a 6metre van so can wriggle into tightish spots and angles.

collapsable watering can sounds like a useful bit of kit though.

we use a 15M food quality hose for general use and this is what we usually use. We also have an additional hose for connecting with the first if just short, but this is very rarely used. What we have bought recently is an expanding hose that allows a reach of 50M from a very small, but heavy coil. We also have a watering can because I fell into the "Never thought of that, must get one" trap set by other Funsters:rolleyes:, but haven't used it.

We just bought a hose and chopped about 10feet off it and use that short one almost all the time we also have a seldom used collapsible one. Don't bother with a watering can as we hardly ever have a tap we can't reach. (Unless you are looking for a hobby carrying water across a campsite)

As much as you want to take. Glib answer but it really depends on how you are going to use your motorhome.

I carry both a 30m and 15m shrinkable hose. I also have a 6m and 3m garden type hose to use at motorhome fill points. They can all be joined together if need be.

I NEVER trust a campsite or Aire hose. I have seen how they can and are abused. I always take the hose off and use one or more of my own.

I have two of those magic? Expanding hoses, two because someone left me an extra one.

I have no idea how long it expands to, but it has served me well for three years.

I bought a bargain pack of fitting in a Pound Shop.

I bought a 30m blue food grade lay flat hose, cut into 3 pieces (5m, 10m and 15m) put connectors on each length so could use which ever length was suitable or join lengths together if required.
Rarely use anything longer than the 5m length of hose.
Also have a couple of folding buckets and a funnel arrangement to topup rather than move the van if we are parked up for a few days.

Some taps are the smaller ½" BSP in Spain. The brass adapter kits in Wilkinsons are good.

We do too but recon to get 3 to 4 days out of 130l must be more careful. Mind you I think the watering can is out for me and we would also then need either a waste carrier or magic bucket.

As with others variety of sizes 2m 10m 30m of layflat food grade. Lots of connectors and things, including a gardena meter. The obligatory folding water can. 2 folding buckets 10 l plastic fill van with whale pump. The pump is also used to tranfer from an aquaroll 40l taken in toad when used. What else do you need, a tank bigger than 65l that overflows into the van.
