Hi

Just had the Roller Team a few weeks now and tried to fill the cold water tank with a hose pipe on our first trip away but it is difficult to get the end of the hose really well into the filler pipe due to a bend in the pipe so the water backs up unless you fill the tank very slowly which takes forever.
One of the other campers on the site suggested getting one of the special filler caps that you just fit onto the top of the filler pipe and then connect your hose to it and then fill you tank so bought one on Amazon. The trouble is that even though the filler cap is advertised as being universal and a fit for all models it is designed to fit van filler pipes that have 3 fixing/tightening slots on the top of the pipe and the existing filler cap on the Roller Team van (as the other photo below) only has 2 slots so it will not fit - hope I have explained the problem OK?
Contacted the supplier of the part that will not fit and they confirmed that they do not make a filler cap with a 2 slot connector that will fit a Roller Team.
Does anybody have or know where to get a filler cap for a Roller Team or indeed any van with a similar connection?

Peter

we have same problem and my fix was to cut the hose to a quite sharp angle and then wiggle it into the entry of the tank, you will know when it goes in.The tank is offset to the filler so direct the hose in the right way.

As john says your overflow is blocked, what happens when the tank is full does it overflow through a pipe somewhere or just through your filler, if through your filler something wrong with vent or overflow

Give the hose a twist and wriggle, it will go in eventually!
Ours has be inserted by forcing it to the left and down.

Something has been dropped into the filler neck at some point! My BIL accidentally dropped the end of the hose pipe down the filler neck and he now had the very same problem, has to fill very slowly, if not he gets a whush and gurgle and water flies out of the filler neck if filling too quickly!

He had stripped the cupboards out inside to access the filler neck to try and remove the hose pipe end but cannot see it anywhere but knows it's there.

Sounds more like the tank breather/overflow is partially blocked or kinked not allowing air out fast enough.
Like the idea of a kinky pipe but will try out all the suggestions and thanks for all the responses
