Anyone been on the Camping and Caravanning club September Rally to La Garangeoire at St Juliene des Landes? If so was it good, is site OK and are there bike routes to get about especially to the beach?
Cheers

Not been to the rally, or stayed on the site, but know a couple of people that love that site.
I have stayed on another site nearby several times and love the area. I regularly cycled to the beaches, which were about 10 miles away, but be aware, some are clothing optional (y)

Thanks Ken. Decided, after what you and a couple of friends from a recent trip have said, to book and enjoy.
Now need somewhere to stay the night, pub, Brit Stop, within 30 mns of ferry at Portsmouth. Anyone any suggestions please?
Cheers

Good to hear Tony, it will be what you make it.

I have spent many summers at Le Pin Parasol site, just across the other side of Lac du Jaunay and often cycled past the entrance to Garangeoire, without actually going in.
You may be out there a bit late, but every year there is a summer fete held down on the banks of the lake, with a fantastic free firework display. Well worth taking a picnic blanket, rucksack and vino if you're out there in time.

Don't hesitate to PM if you want any specific info..... Enjoy (y)

Thanks for that. Also found a couple of pub stops off Keith's map.
