UK bill that's norway booked

We're going too next year. Either May or Septmber. May is drier so could be the date we pick

I am going up to Oslo first. We have friends up there then will try to get to tromso fijord.

September for us, looking for early Aurora sightings, going up to Tromso as well, driving round via tunnel, then the Swedish bridge, might regret that, but best option for dog

Don't you know I'll send you a map if you like

I know the way, I asked what route you are taking. It's been discussed on various threads this year, the two Danish bridges or Travemunde to Trelleborg or the DFDS freight route direct to Norway.

Edit: I see your earlier post now, Hirtshals it is then. Good roads through the length of Jutland but boring. You can overnight around Hirtshals, plenty of places to pull in round what passes for a port and a stones throw from the town.

I know I use to go up the regular with the trucks see I had my own haulage business all European work.

It of course depends where you are going to tour in Norway re, which ferry you choose. The problem with Bergen is that if travelling north from Bergen, it will be expensive as you will have to catch the multitude of smaller ferries as you go up. Thats the reason I like Larvic as it allows me to transit Sweden which is much cheaper fuel and provisions wise than Norway. I then cross over into Norway when above the Arctic circle.

Right up the top robert stunning

Snowbird is right (y)

It is all down to time and money really. Norway is MASSIVE and EXPENSIVE.

If budget is not a limiting factor you could always use the Hurtigruten :D

Dave is there any campsites on the Atlantic road

I have no idea about any campsites in Norway as the only ones I have used are fish camps. Wild camping is more the norm in Scandinavia as opposed to campsites.

If you are considering the Nordcap route, its nothing but a tourist trap, with tourist prices. There are far more scenic routes going up than the Nordcap route.
