Rally Twin Lakes - France 2018

Hi Graham and Jean,
Our house move has gone really slowly thanks to the overpaid lazy solicitors who completely ignored our requested dates for completion. We were hoping to be in and done by now and on our way to Twin Lakes but it is looking like it will not be complete for another 2 weeks so we will not be able to get there for the 5th as planned. We are going to try and get there at least before the end of the meet and maybe extend our stay after it ends, so sorry for the late notice. As we were booked for a EHU you can offer it to anyone on the reserve list as it would be unfair to keep it reserved till we arrive. We hope to see you all there at some point and wish everyone a "Bonnes Vacances".
Regards
Rob & Susan
Thanks for letting us know. Hope to see you before the end if the meet. Safe journey down.

It’s our first time in France in the MH. Staying tonight at Neufchâtel-en-Bray, does anyone have any suggestions for good dog friendly stops for the next two nights?
There was a van in our compartment on the shuttle, MH18 FUN, thought I’d knock and say hello - only to be met with blank faces.... they weren’t funsters!
Hope you gave them an application form. Lol

Hi Graham. Sorry it’s short notice but unfortunately we’re not going to be able make to the meet this year:crying: I have Physio appointments which have messed up our plans for this autumn:( Hopefully we will be able to get away towards the end of September but too late for Twin Lakes.
Have a great time - I’m sure you will

I’ve said it before. STOP STOP.

You are going to have a terrible time.

The lakes are terrible.
The fishing is terrible.
The bar is terrible.
The site is terrible.
The welcome you will receive, will be terrible.
The owner is terrible, beware his fowling gun when he is after moles.
The delivered baguettes are terrible
The surrounding area is terrible.
The local market every Thursday, where you can by almost anything, is terrible.
The strawberry seller at the local market is terrible.
The helper lady Helen, and her dog Socks, if she is there, is terrible.

Terrible, terrible, terrible.

You are all going to have a terrible time.

The Very @old-mo. type FellaPerson once sent us there as a punishment.

All I can say is make sure you have all left, by next March, because it is going to be difficult for you to leave. I do like a quiet, peaceful site each spring. :gum:

It would seem, that for what ever reason, people are taking the above post of mine seriously and maybe cancelling. Come on people it was a bit of fun. I am sorry if I alarmed anyone, but surely the last line must indicate that it is a great place. We go there every spring.

Thanks Mike. All those who have been here will know what a fab place it is. Some folk just don't read to the end.
Come on down! !! :france::france::france:

Cannot believe any one took @SuperMike `s post as real...:rofl:

Fabulous site in a fabulous area... Stayed there on many occasion`s .... (y)

Just got to look and see how the "Twin Lakes Rally" has gone from strength to strength... :clap2::france:

Only wish health and other reasons allowed us to go back... :(

That's terrible ... well, it would be terrible, in fact, terribly, terrible, if anyone took it terribly seriously

Can we turn up on Saturday 15th for a few days. It will depend on Caspers behaviour. He loves people but is not enamoured with dogs he does not know.

We are hoping to find a nice parking place to watch the International Classic Car rally on the Saturday morning, then we will head towards Twin Lakes if that's ok.

Sat in a very hot Blaye.
Some swine has blocked the end entrance. Just move the barrier, I did
I'm not going up the kerb and risking damage.
GRAHAM. NO LEAD FOR LECCY SO GIVE LECCY PITCH TO NEXT ONE THAT WANTS IT.
See you tommorow.

Hi Graham, we are in your area tomorrow heading down the N10 towards the Somport tunnel on our way to Beni for the winter.
We are on the Marboue aire, south of Chartres tonight, depending on how we get on we may need a stop for the night, what could be better than a few refreshments with friends, so is it OK to call in if we can tomorrow?(y)
Cheers
Ed

At Oiron, north of Parthenay. Had on our way south until this morning when it dried up and it's beautiful here now.

Be with you all tomorrow afternoon after a bit of shopping.

@Ali n Tim sorry you won't be there - seems we keep missing each other. Or was it something we said......................
