Does anyone know of good sites around Torremolinos for winter sun break.? thanks,,Dave

camping torremolinos is the only one. not very nice in my opinion , in the middle of an urbanisation and quite alot of trees. 10 min / half mile walk to the beach. plus point is the train station 2 min walk away where you can to malaga one way and benalmadena, fuengirola and marbella the other.

As above... The site is not in a "nice" location, we found ameneties good but not a cheap site compared to some... Friendly staff and reasonable little on site bar...
Very handy for buses into Malaga.
Trains close by. Cheap and reliable. Ideal for trips to Fuengirola where there is a lot more activity...

fuengirola has also a camping site, just around the corner from our place.
Down beside the castle, 2 mins from the beach. Never been in it, but seen it from the road often.

Thanks looks like benidorm sounds better any suggestions would be very welcome, we have never been to spain with our MH and quite like the idea of a stay around 6 weks ish.....

Try Bella Vista near Estepona. Nicely located by beach and handy for Gibraltar. Very clean although with usual frustrating and annoying Spanish "inconveniences".

There is a good aire at a place called Segorbe approx 120 miles from Benidorm. We use La Torreta campsite in Beni just Behind Beni Palace. there's also camping Villasol, El Raco and Villamar. If you have a dog Villasol doesn't allow them.

To be avoided unless you are absolutely desperate!! Awful place with a permanent tented village in one area, generally in delapidated state, be better pitching in the street or by Miramar centre if you are self sufficient.

Benidorm is great but it's not Spain. Food, shops lovely spotless beach, it's alive. Micro climate, so a good place to stop 'till it gets warm.

Then see Spain. Hop to Granada, there is a campsite right in the middle, see the old town and most of all see the Alhambra. You are not allowed to die until you've seen the Alhambra.

After that keep going to El Peurto de Sta Maria, stop here and explore. Great town, good cycling, take the water buss to Cadiz. Smile as you thing what we did to the Spaniards there. Visit Jerez, home of Sherry and motor racing.

Then on to Cordoba and see the Mosque, until you stand in it you don't realise the scale of the place. Another great city to wander round.

We are currently on a site 6 km from Estopona in the airs book 2015 site 2619. Bus outside to Estopona and Marbella. Bit sheltered and a good rate. I would recommend benidorm just for winter sun as the cost of living there is cheap and there is something for everyone even if it means a train or bus out of Benidorm for the day.

As Brian said this is not the real spain but you will meet plenty of Funsters.
