The Westys are off to ScandinaviašŸ‘šŸ‘

Well after the excitement of reaching the Nordkapp we decided to head in the Hammerfest direction but after having a few park ups in mind that turned out not so good we found this park up for tonight! Hoping for peace and quietšŸ¤ž

Well last night didn’t go to plan, after a very peaceful evening watching the boats go by etc then at around 10.30pm some t##t in an old merc estate decided to come into the small car park and do some donuts flicking all the small rocks towards the van, did about 5 then buggered off, fortunately none hit the van, but by then we weren’t gonna get any sleep, so we packed up in the dark and moved on. I don’t get it, this was a sleepy fishing village about two miles off the main road from Hammerfest, there’s hardly anyone about and this happens🤬🤬🤬🤬

That's a shame.

Not Morelo but Concorde did briefly do an IVECO based coach built as 4x4.

Kabe just announced its new AWD models on MB chassis. Focus is obviously not offroading, but winter and towing.

That's a shame.
Yes it is and I’ve said this to a few friends but after being in Norway for about a week, it just isn’t doing it for me and last night soured it even more (yes I know it happens in EVERY country), I’m tempted to rush down the Atlantic road and get into Denmark or GermanyšŸ‘

You've done what you wanted and got to Nordkap so maybe it won't be too bad to head south, maybe a bit slower than a rush.

Don't give up on Norway already. You haven't got close to seeing any of the breathtaking bits yet. Head down to TromsĆø, ferry over to Senja and then the Lofortens (should be a lot quieter than the overcrowded peak season), then wander down the Atlantic coast to the western Fjords. Great driving roads and spectacular scenery.

Don't forget to stray from the main "E" roads as much as possible, but use the National Tourist Routes instead.

Donut GIF by WHOCULT

We saw lots of tyre skid marks on main roads. Not accidents but deliberate donuts, or whatever. Don’t know if it’s lack of sleep in summer, or cabin fever in the winter.

Well it hasn’t been an eventful two days, spent Wednesday in Hammerfest (Meh😁) yesterday in Alta (Meh😁) and drove down to Bjerkvik where we make a decision to go to Lofoten or notšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I’m finding the scenery and most of the roads here in Norway breathtaking, most of the towns look like Hicksville and shabby.

The thing that gets me about Norway is that all of it is on top quality rock and yet they mostly build roads that are just wide enough for two trucks/busses to pass with a fag paper between them!! The rock is there for the road base why don’t they use it to make wider roadsšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ™„

Sounds like the words if a quarry man. 🤣
