90% of the worlds photograph paper comes from Zambia.
Its a developing country...

Global warming is now thought to be a leading cause of documentaries...

A horse walks into a bar and goes up to a man in the corner and says "Why the short face"?

Vladimir Putin, wanting to get on the good side of voters, goes to visit a school in Moscow to have a chat with the kids.

He talks to them about how Russia is a powerful nation and how he wants the best for the people.

At the end of the talk, there is some time for questions.

Little Sasha puts her hand up and says "I have two questions:

Why did the Russians take Crimea? And why are we sending troops to Ukraine?"

Putin says "Good questions..." But just as he is about to answer, the bell goes, and the kids go for lunch.

When they come back, they sit back down and there is room for some more questions so another girl, Misha, puts her hand up and says,

"I have four questions. My Questions are:

Why did the Russians invade Crimea? Why are we sending troops to Ukraine?

Why did the bell go 20 minutes early for lunch? And where is Sasha?"

I bought an old Elvis record from the market “Wooden Leg”
I said to the stall owner, “ I thought he sang Wooden Heart?”
He said... “This is a pirate version”
...................................................................................................

Joe Biden says he would love to send lots of military equipment to Ukraine to help their efforts but unfortunately he’s already donated it to the Taliban...

I'm worried about old-mo a couple of them were up to date. 😂

I thought the JFK one was better.:clap2:

Possibly the only one that could be called a joke posted by the Auld Yin old-mo !(y)
Damn!:swear2: Just realised my spellchecker somehow abbreviated my previous post to initials!

Sorry, it should have said (hopefully it'll work this time).:pray2:

JFK!

Nope, let's try again.:swear2:

Just F***ing Kidding!

At last!(y):giggler:

We are on it this morning for a 'look around' 2hr run into the channel and back, and hopefully some free wine and nibbles!!!!

So, a little late, an update on our maiden voyage.
The fireworks reached a level best described as adequate but the brand new ship was pristine as might be expected.
Cabins small , functional and decorated in light 'wood' tones. Everything worked fine.
the Taberna de Tapas is a functional space lit like an operating theatre with a couple of platters on offer, cheese, charcuterie or a mix. At £7.45 each they were adequate.Main bar is OK but service a bit haphazard as the front section is Covid screened and you wander to the side ssection to get your drinks but staff stay firmly behind the screens so service suffers and informal queues appaer and are then circumvented by those sneaky ouls going to the sides to attract a server.Entertainment was a female guitarist for about an hour.
Slept well, don't do breakfast so had a lie in and spent the day lounging around with a brief visit to the Taberna for a vey dry tortilla.
Dinner( included for all) is split into 6 sittings, 3 in the main restaurant, 3 in the taberna. We were on the 18.15 sitting in the main restaurant and the queue by then was impressive . Food and service for us was fine but there were lots of staff wandering around with foood as they were unfamilair with table locations.Next sitting was 7.15-no lingering over a coffee - that's in paper cups from the main bar- and it was beginning to fall apart a bit as some took longer than others, some arrived early . We left at 7.30 ish and there was a queue out topay for drinks and a longerqueue in to et tables. main bar was quiet as most were involved with dinner. Guitarist agian
Arrival and docking was fine, on time and , luckily we were the first through passport control and customs and on the rod by 8.25. No health form checks on entering . Passport was stampedd on entry.
Overall impression - bland , adequate, OK but no WOW, not even a free glass of cheap cava on sailing.

Probably as expected on a maiden voyage,l imagine things will improve rapidly as the procedures and staff fall in line with a little practice.
We are on it in a couple of weeks so hopefully all good by then.

TBH there's not much to improve. It was more that there was little that was new, exciting, innovative - an opportunity missed in my view.Underwhelming in a word but it did the job.

This doesn’t look encouraging as any delay backs up. A Part is needed!

Arrived in Bilbao today to board the new ferry Salamanca . 6.00pm came & went and we were still hadn’t boarded .
At 7.00pm we were told the ship had developed a fault and needed a part which wo t be here until tomorrow sometime then it needs fixing !! 😡😡😡
We are goi g to board and stay on the ship until she sails guess it’s going to be a long way home !

More information coming through about delays on the Salamanca.

This is current;
We are as I speak sat on a Brittany Ferry which is apparently on only its 2nd crossing ...it has broken down and we are sat in Bilbao waiting for a part. Should have left yesterday at 6pm now estimated to leave at 7.30pm this eve. Not guaranteed though atm !!
So whoever is waiting to get the return of this one may have a delay.

Nice ones Mo, only comment I’ll make is in my opinion, the Walkers Crisps one is fact not a joke😖
