This 'bucket' can hold 100mts ... bearing in mind that the IEE code of practice specifies a maximum length for a 3 core, 2.5mm, 230v mains extension is 25mt, this would be far too big and cumbersome to be practical.. .. and as already said, using it without uncoiling would be dangerous..
To accommodate a thing this size you could always leave the fan heater at home and use this contraption fully coiled to generate heat on a cold day. :Blush:
Yes the whole length should be unfurled for each use to be safe ......why not just curl a couple of leads into one of those flexible garden "buckets".......which you can then use for washing up.......emptying waste water etc............they have many uses.
In our local camping etc shop (diagonally opposite our house!) we spied a material zip up bag to keep our squash-flat hose and cassette in. Just a couple of quid. Then we said a bit later - the EHU lead would fit in one of these - and now - it does. Just coil it round thumb and elbow as per normal, lob in bag, squash flattish and zip up. Brill.
