Help and advice required please.
We are going to this area in 2 weeks and looking forward to our first visit to south Wales. Rather than look online for areas of beauty we thought funsters with experience of the Gower area may offer advice. We are staying on a site near Swansea and have a car with us to distance isn't a problem.
We look forward to your recommendations.
Many thanks in anticipation.

If you like Beaches Rhosilli and Oxwich are both nice, there's also a castle to look at called Oystermouth castle not far from Mumbles, and you could try the Britannia Inn at Llanmadoc for a nice meal out.

Forget the scenery, just have a Joes ice cream from Swansea or the Mumbles and your holiday will be complete!

Pembrey also worth a visit. Good safe beach, miles of walking/cycling in the park, miiature steam railway, ski slope etc. Oh, and you can either take your car there for the day or take the van and stay overnight either at the CMC site or the council run facility.

Pembrey is very much our go to destination (about 4 times a year at least) walks are wonderful but may be a bit far from Swansea, Rhosilli also wonderful with excellent beaches and walks though we tend to go there in car with a tent rather than the motorhome as some of the roads in the areas we go to there make Devon and Cornwall B roads feel like motorways

+1 for Pembury BUT there used to be a very nasty weed which brought two of my kids up in really nasty blisters (one requiring a hospital visit).

It was well advertised all over the area but you know what kids are like. BEWARE if it is still around.

That's the wild parsnip, it is a pretty nasty plant but in many trips I have been pretty lucky and only seen many signs but no plants (yet)

There is quite a nice walk through to Three Cliffs Bay from Langland Bay over the cliffs or you could park in the cafe car park.

That's just reminded me of a walk we did over the cliffs from Rhossili, past the blue pool and down to Broughton Bay very pretty.
