Still Just Looking :-(

Hi Folks we are thinking of travelling out to this http://www.messe-stuttgart.de/en/cmt/ for a long weekend. Anyone else been? Is the MH section bigger better that the February NEC MH show? We are not looking at British vans - so Hymer/Carthago/Burstner/Adria/Pilote etc.
Cheers
Bill

Never been to Stuttgart show but IMO the one in Brum in February is pants. Last time we went caravans and motorhomes were combined with a smaller collection of boats and neither contingent was much cop. (n)

Dusseldorf is good - don't know how it compares.

Its the biggest and best..but if you missed it I'm sure Stuttgart will be far better then any UK show IF looking at European vans. I'm waiting on some info from someone in Germany regards this

sounds like a good show to visit!

"Hi Eddie,

Stuttgart is the second biggest trade fair of the year. They are nearly as big as Düsseldorf, on this trade fair there are often new models presented, when the manufacturers don’t want to wait until Düsseldorf.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen"

Was looking at Heathrow German Wings £74 each. Is easyjet from Gatwick?

We have some friends in Karlsruhe - might see if we can fit it in with that - take a fortnight in Jan to bimble down and bimble back - it's about 6 or 7 hours hours from Calais. Camping is 20 euros per night on site with EHU

Easyjet flight departures arent great and would cost us a bomb in Taxi - remember earlier comment about 5* living ;)

Off site parking not so expensive at Gatwick.. We normally drive there.

German wings a budget job as well easy jet probably better:)

Flights are booked - BA were cheaper than German Wings and go from LHR which suits us.
Just need to narrow our choices and open our minds (and wallet) now!
Hymer/Burstner/Carthago not necessarily in that order. A-Class or Coachbuilt....

What dates will you be there - we plan to come in our motorhome if we can - just trying to juggle some work commitments

Lunchtime 21st to morning 24th. May only go to the show on one day as I quite fancy a trip to the Porsche museum.

:)I only plan one day at the show. Will let you know if I am going to be there on those dates and we can meet for a coffee.

Never turn down a coffee but with a Yorkshire-man and a Scot paying may be an issue...
Looking at exhibitors already :)

Hmmm, think we just had to revise our plans due to unforeseen circumstances that mean we have to go away in Feb and we don't have the time to do Jan and Feb next year. Would have liked that coffee. Enjoy and let me know what the show is like.

I like the idea of the show, what puts me off is the weather at that time of the year in Germany. Flying would be no problem, but not sure I would want to drive there in MH.

These shows big, if buying two days minimum.....if anything like Düsseldorf you can leave bags at left luggage and get shuttle to airport
