Wished we could have stayed longer, but had to leave today (looking forward to retirement!!!). Great to be around friendly funsters even though we admit to not being the most social! Thanks and our best wishes to Dave and Polly.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL...

ENGLAND V TUNISIA...

We have the room again for Monday night for those staying and there is a 32" wall mounted TV on which we can watch the football.
Kick off is 7pm, will be a good atmosphere
Bring your drinks, nibbled and flags..

Doors open at 6.30pm...

Open to all including @ Swansea jack as long as he wears his England shirt

I always use the auto ceiling set to 100 meters, the legal height is 400 feet, and when I first flew it, I went up to 400 on the controller but realised later it was set to meters!
That’s when I altered the max ceiling setting.

BTW, for those who are not aware, the water supply to the FUN and ARV Camping Areas was disconnected this afternoon, without apparent warning.

Why this should happen when A...many of us have paid to stay until Wednesday morning, and B...when we have disabled members who are unable to convey water over long distances, I don't know?

Does anyone know what time you have to be off on raceday. If there is no water and you have to be gone by 11 on Wednesday we may just leave tomorrow.

Water is not an issue there is a tap on the wall outside the shower block of the room we have been using. Just means a longer walk but agree with jock it should have been left on
Contractors to keen I think.
If you need leave on Tuesday best go early as traffic will usially be stopped leaving the centre of the course near the race time. Stay overnight and leave Wednesday

Just home after a great week. Thank you to our marshalls Polly and Dave. Good luck Dave, positive waves are flowing from Dorset. It's such a great venue, back there next week for the River Festival after a bit of family fun plus taxiing. Retirement is such a trial and very boring.....

We are now home safely after our little trip around England and Scotland finishing with a great week at Stratford.
Special thanks to Dave and Polly for the marshaling in what can only be difficult circumstances. Hope all goes well today with your treatment Dave and that we will again be sat at the Beer's Friends bar in the very near future.
Thanks also to the Band and the Funsters for all the fun in the last week, and we capped it off with a couple of winners at the races.
