3 years 30,000 miles UK and Europe.. Campsites and off Grid.
I've heard that fridges don't work if the van is not parked level. Apart from that is there any reason that a Motorhome shouldn't be parked up on a incline. My drive is on a slope - I reckon it would need about 30cm ramps to be flat. Leveling ramps tend not to be that big. Does it matter? If it does I guess I'd have to get some proper ramps.

Apart from the fridge, no problem so long as chocked and/or handbrake on.

Obviously the fridge will off most of the time when parked at home so presumably that's not an issue?

I like parking mine on an incline and at a slope side to side because it steers all the dirty water from the roof and black streaks down only one rear corner.

As long as the rainwater doesn't pool in the same place all should be ok. If it pools next to a roof seal than I would be concerned.

I'd be concerned if the roof design had obstructions that didn't allow water to run off when there was a 30cm fall.

Good thing is.................water runs off roof.
Bad thing........................if handbrake is on for long term storage can seize/rust on.

Hi there may well be a problem that we encountered. We have an Elldiss 115 ,17 platewith an underslung boiler. The boiler intake and exhaust were on the upslope and rain water was running down a channel
In the bodywork straight into the opening thereby filling the boiler housing up. We only found out when the boiler packed up and we took it in for repair under guarantee, to be told the van had flooded and wouldn’t be covered. They had a video of water pouring out, as they had unscrewed the casing.
We are still arguing, however I disconnected the pipes and took my own video of water freely running out of the exhaust when it rained. The van is still parked on a slope but I now make sure the inlets are covered by gaffer tape when not on n use.

Will be parked forward so I would imagine the water would easily run towards the cab.

Mine is parked on a similar slope on my drive and I have encountered no issues whatsoever over the last couple of years.

The fridge might well work on an incline and if it doesn't try parking the other way round if the fridge is on the side of the MH.

Absorbtion fridges have a sloping tube at the top of the condenser at the back. This needs to slope the right way otherwise the fluids don't circulate as they should.
