Getting Better
I have continental vancocamper 225/75/16 r cp on my 3500kg fiat ducato 6mtr. Tyres 4-5 years old

The ride is terrible, especially on the back, going over some rough roads there is some serious crashing at the back, I have airbags at the back. No matter what pressure I put in the tyres it’s the same and worse if too high. I used to have 50psi fronts and 55 rears but mpg suffered so now running at fronts 60 and rears 65… I’m going to change the tyres in July/august before my euro trips…

It’s fine on good roads and a little better when I’m fully loaded but horrendous when I’m using the van as my daily driver…

What tyres have any of you experienced that tends to stop the crashing or at least lessons it…🤔

Getting Better
Think yourself lucky you haven't got Michelin CP's far harder ride than Conties.
The Toyo Observe Van I have give a far better ride than CP tyres.

When using as your daily driver have you unloaded the van or do you leave it loaded?
Unloaded it will be a harsher ride.

Yeah it’s a bit better when loaded but as I’m on my own now it’s not going to fill up much…😆

I second the smoother ride from Toyo, Observe Van.

The only thing I have noticed is that the tyre pressures required are so low ( compared to CP tyres ) that when parked up the van is slightly less ridged. Prompting me to use the stableiser legs.

Air on back will stop it hitting bump stops which will help.

Twelve months and still learning.
I recently changed (due to age) from Continental Vanco Campers to Continental Van Contact Four Seasons. The result is a huge improvement in ride quality with a bonus that they have significantly better grip on grass.

My van is also a 6m Ducato PVC.

What pressures are you running as I've never noticed it. We have full air that probably makes it a bit bouncer when stationary.
I run at 56 psi on the front (1930kg) and 69 psi on the rear (2300kg) those are my actual running weights.

On our last MH we changed to Pirelli Carrier Camper tyres which were much quieter and a much smoother ride than the Michelins they replaced. I don’t know if the Pirelli’s are still current.

me too, but i think our van has a longer overhang than yours whichdont help.

i can live with the slight movement when occupied static for the amount of improved ride the Toyo's give.

Movement doesn't bother us when parked. New van is coming with rear steadies they will get taken off.

Had few panel vans for work, contis are the wood feel and spin on wet. This van I have now came with conti, replaced with maxxis mcv, much softer. After this set I'm going back to infinity, even better; Love the feel of those tyres even fully loaded not harsh no skip no spin, and moderate wear.

On the recommendation of a friend I have just swapped the rear tyres on our van from Michelin Agilis CP for Michelin CrossClimate Campers. New tyres always seem to ride much more smoothly than those removed but the change in this case was startling; so much so that I planning to ditch the nearly new Argilis on the front for the new CrossClimates.

I've just done the same and fitted Agilis Cross Climate Campers all round, and I agree, the change is startling. Apart from the better ride, they are also much quieter on poor surfaces.

Getting there!
Another vote for Toyo Observe Van, we changed our previous MH from Michelin campers to Toyo, the ride and feel was much better and more enjoyable to drive.

Cross climates on ours were transformative. Utterly wonderful ride, great grip esp on soft ground and they don’t seem to wear too quickly either.
