I've driven all over Europe and Norway. Wagons, no snow tires or chains. Employer wouldn't spend the cash on them. Packed ice in Norway/Sweden is interesting! As is Austria. Just keep it slow......

Think its now Law in most of France, rather than a Choice, as for Austria, wouldn't bother as they're back in Lockdown

Me too.

First time we went to Norway in our VW T5, we only had M+S All-Season in December 2004. Winter tyres not required by law.

We went back a few times in Winter with the motorhomes, with winter tyres. Twin rear wheel drive Mercedes Sprinter. Drove on Compacted snow, icy back roads. No problems. Just keep your speed down.

Its a Flurry, no need to Hurry,
I won't last long, the Spanish road clearing team will get it sorted if it gets worse, huge vehicle parking areas are provided to hold the traffic before high ground...pull in, have a party, get to know everyone....Chill Out....

They will soon deal with that. We've been through from Irun towards Burgos where its piled high at the side of the motorway but they have enough kit to keep the carriageway clear.

Just reading the Spanish news HERE it shows some pretty bad weather conditions for certain areas which may affect anyone travelling south to the costas. Worth being aware of
