Twice we have had to be recovered after breaking down, the first time was from just North of Chartres, when a rear wheel bearing collapsed on our old Eura Mobil, and the second time was from Snetterton race circuit, when what later was found to be the lack of an earth strap that sent the electrics doolally on our Ducato PVC so it would not start.
The Ducato recovery also involved recovering the trailer and the 1.25 million pound pre-war Aston Martin race car in it that were towing for a friend.

Sorry but no photos . But we arrived at Terrys and Lisa roses meet . late at night on the back of a truck. Oh the fun of it.

Mosel, Germany.. Fuel filter leaking.... The ADAC man back at the garage at Trier just shook his head and said "English mechanic". I agreed as it had a full service only 2 weeks prior.. :swear:

ps... Yes, that is the wife with brown hair.. Not a "travel buddy". It's before she became a "Blonde" as many people know her now.. WHOOPS... Should I have said that....

Following on from my previous post. I would like to add a couple more photo's. Having had a clutch hydraulic failure our recovery insurance covered the cost of towing the vehicle to a garage where it was fixed several days later. The insurance paid for the 616€ taxi bill to get us home and paid for the train fare to go and recover the vehicle. We had of course to pay for the repair. Fortunatley we did not have our dog with us.
