@Jim Isn't there a way to limit the number of Capital letters used in titles? (pet hate)

Joking aside it's also annoying when someone writes a whole paragraph in capitals......

This was brought up some time ago and we ended up with every word in the heading being a capital. Then it disappeared......

Personal preference, but I'd rather see all caps than all lower case.
I use a laptop, I can type; but I've tried doing bits on a tablet & on a smartphone, & if I were trying to do a full 'post' I'd be doing all caps - I just can't manage the teensy little 'keys' so I really wouldn't be bothered with all that fiddly shifting from one to the other and numbers & special characters too, it always takes me about 10 goes just to get one letter right!
So while I fully sympathise @Techno , sorry, but if I were using a tablet or phone, I'd be doing it too. (And I WOULDN'T be shouting!!!) :D

If it is possible to do all the text of the subject matter as normal as most offenders seem to manage then it is no more difficult to do the title ?

Oh, right, I see your point - I'd be doing the whole thing in caps

I hate sending texts for that very reason, I start by meaning to say Hi (Name) and land up just starting Hi then my message without even a comma or hitting 'carriage return. It's absolutely alien to me in either 'typewriting' (on a typewriter, word processor, phone etc.) or handwriting; those few words would actually land up saying Its absolutely alien to me in either typewriting on a typewriter word processor phone etc or handwriting.

It is well known that lower case is easier to read than upper case...

To be honest I haven't really noticed it much. The occasional one yes and usually more in titles instead of the body of a post. Don't care in titles but don't like it in posts.

Apparently dyslexic people can read words better if they are written in CAPITAL letters.

Perhaps they can't read well with bad eye sight so use caps and does it REALLY matter?! Snippy replies can be rude in low case or caps :sneaky:

Total deviation. How do you place a @ and then a name at the beginning of a reply? Thanks

@BMF14 ? @BFM14 just type it. If it is a user name it will turn blue and send that user an alert

Yes it is classed as shouting and has blatant disregard for everyone else who posts normally

But newbies might not know that ! And might just be using capitals to make a bolder statement to standout and not meaning to "shout" .
