Just got this from my cupboard.

Doesn't need 12 volts.

Doesn't cost £89.99.

Doesn't take 8 minutes.

Oh yes it does...

I suspect you are a "Coffee ist".

Frequent Starbucks by any chance?

No it doesn't - it tastes like powdered coffee
No I'm not, but I know the difference between real & make believe
Can't remember the last time I went into Starbucks or any other 'coffee shop'...
I prefer Tea... as long as it's not made with a teabag :D2

Useful post from OP - shame it’s gone into the usual “what’s wrong with instant?” versus “What’s right?” stuff. But the reviews for the device on Amazon are a bit off putting, at least for using it without a hot water source.

We use a stove top pot in the van and at home. Makes perfect coffee, but your brand of ground coffee can make a big difference. We prefer Lavazza but most French supermarkets sell good coffee anyway and it’s so much cheaper here.
Before we moved to France we used to stock up on trips here but places like Lidl sell decent stuff everywhere

Why do people rave over crap pod machines, never had a decent cup of coffee from one. And the price per cup is readiculas for crap coffee and there is all the the waste they generate.
Probably one of the worst inventions of modern times.

We use stainless steel Moka type pots at home & in the van.

Are the above coffee machines better than an aeropress?

I like the aeropress, depending on coffee, but it is a faff. I like the idea of filling something and then it sorting its self out, and keeping coffee warm.

I use a Nespresso machine for a shot in a Latte but the Aeropress makes a far better mug of coffee, and I don't even find it a faff.

I don’t find the aero press a faff. Plus no plastic pods to eventually find their way into the sea. The pods to me just seem like a way to make more needless plastic waste.

It's all shite! Such an unnatural drink. who ever first thought "I know I'll try grinding these horrible bitter bean things and make a drink"

Bloody masochist

A cafetière is my usual way to make coffee but agree an Aeropress is brilliant for use the MH. Grinds can be ejected straight in to the bag/bin so no disposal problems or mess, I never flush coffee grind into the waste tank.

Never used an Aeropress but my Daughter has one and I think she likes it.
We have had Gaggia espresso machines, the classic types and bean to cup machines. All make excellent coffee but when we started using the motorhome more we decided stove top pots were the way to go and they make coffee almost as good as our big Gaggia machine.
We have a Bialetti pot and a Bialetti milk frother for cappuccinos.

It’s more a faff possibly due to the wife.

“Ohhh go on then, I’ve changed my mind now I’ve smelt it. I will have one”

Aaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh

Not a great coffee drinker but if i was i would want one of these. could this run off an inverter, now i'm tempted
