This is probably a stupid question but I will ask any way.

Non slip matting £1 a roll from Pound Land, we always use china and glass not got any plastic and never have any trouble, just lay it underneath bottom plate/dish etc never hear a thing.

Line the cupboard with glassed in underneath and they all sit perfectly still but don't let the touch one another.

Rattle on hob towel underneath.

Pots and Pans a few tea towels, it all becomes second nature after a while.

Felt circles ( bought in a pack from Dunelm ) slipped between each plate.
We put small cheap cushions in each cupboard which stops china etc. moving, and non slip matting for grill pan and saucepans.

Paper plates. Cheap as chips. On a long journey we stick paper plates between plates/dishes/beakers. They even work with the heavier stuff, like pans. Don't expect to use the paper plates after though. You could put glasses in old socks, or to save space, current socks.
