Victron looks good Robert, and a decent price for a quality pure sine inverter, If I didn't have the Merlin that would be my next choice I think.I wouldn't use Waeco - but I would recommend Victron.
A great piece of kit

Nespresso coffee machine tipped it for us.I have been very please with Stirling products but I have never found the need for a pure sine wave inverter.

I have never found the need for a pure sine wave inverter.
But apart from that?Hairdryer, Straighteners (wife), Remoska, Slow Cooker occasionally whilst travelling, toaster, microwave, mains DAB radio and faster charge ups for phones laptops, Pads etc.
We went through three Waecos before switching to the Victron.
But apart from that?

None of those, except the microwave and maybe the electronic stuff really need pure wave. And we find that all our electronic stuff (phones, tablet, ipad, laptop, camera, razor) all charge just as quickly with the correct 12V adaptor. We do have a non pure sine wave inverter but we only us it for my wife's hairdryer.Hairdryer, Straighteners (wife), Remoska, Slow Cooker occasionally whilst travelling, toaster, microwave, mains DAB radio and faster charge ups for phones laptops, Pads etc.

Yes, of course they do, and I never suggested otherwise. They do need an inverter for that, but they do not need a pure sine wave inverter. As I said my much cheaper non-sine wave inverter works fine with the hairdryer.Don't know about yours, but our hairdryers, Remoska, slow cooker etc etc will only run on 240V AC - pure sine or otherwise.
What do you class as a 'standard inverter' ? They're either pure sine or quasi sine wave.

I think these toothbrushes use something called inductive charging (may have got that term wrong). The same as some phones use to charge, including my Nexus. The only thing I've found that will not work with a modified square wave inverter is the charger for our toothbrushes (Braun). I have the lowest power PSW one I could find on fleabay which is 300w permanently wired to the shaver socket in the washroom. The toothbrush charger is 1watt!
