The 2 year warranty was about to run out soon so I decided I didn’t want to keep the 790 beyond that, KTM had revamped the 1290 SDR so I plumped first that after reading all the rave reviews and watching loads of YouTube videos. They weren’t wrong, it’s a belter of a bike, ever at restricted running in mode. Did 30 miles when we got to the Bicester area this afternoon.

Enjoy. A 1290 engine in an unfaired bike needs gorilla arms 😀. I find KTM bike design a bit marmite but I do like the 790 adventure. Yours looks a sensible physical size for seat height.

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
Fantastic machine, my second favourite bike, just behind a Husqvarna Nuda 900R.
Enjoy and stay safe.

Be interested to know your axle weights with that in, with that overhang.
I'am well within the vans limit, I had it weighed fully loaded with the 790 so adding another 20kg is no problem.

Did you weigh individual axles? Cis that is a very loooong overhang...
