WHAT LENGTH OF TIME, IS PARKING ALLOWED, BEFORE DEPATURE THANKS

i go in the morning of travel. then if you need to can hasve a look in the town .
its been eased off since they changed the port in and out ways couple year ago.

Have a look at the BF website, Guides, Ports. It says it opens several hours before departure.

We parked just up the hill at the port end in a school carpark no probs got the coordinates somewhere if you want them.

Do you still have the co-ordinates as we need somewhere to park overnight when we arrive in Santander?

Thanks.

Why not try the aire at Cabarceno? It's about half an hour from the port. Broken Link Removed

They might let you park at the terminal, as the ferries are only a couple a week i think.

I don't think you can park overnight on the dock at Santander although you can at Bilbao.
Another vote here for the free aire at Cabarceno. Lovely place.

I believe that you can park up on your departure day quite early, something like 9am or thereabouts. They give you a pass to get out of the gate .

When do you need this for, the sat nav is in the moho, the moho is getting some jobs done on it, wont pick it up till done, which is unlikely to be before Friday or Monday, sorry about that, thought it was in the house!!

I return on an evening ferry in Jan and on my booking it says i can park on the docks from 0930 on that day. BUSBY.

No rush. Going next March but trying to sort out route early.

Many thanks.

Finally got to my satnav here are the co-ordinates for the places I have used for overnighting in the past. I hasten to add I have not used them recently But they all seem ok on Google.
I have stayed at them all and never had any problems whatsoever.

Santander Car park for night stop, I checked this, still there on Google.
43°29'0.6.o"N
3°47'28.9"W

And another one Playa de la Moroca car park, also still there
43°28'48.0"N 3°59'06.0"W

Somo car park (near beach) about half hour drive away (23km) Also still there according to Google. I like this place as it's handy for a vet and a short stroll into town for something to eat.
43°27"18.9N
3°44'33.0"W

Comillas Car park (about 34 miles to Santander)

Thank you very much.

One thing about this forum is there is always "someone who knows".

Life is much simpler as a result. Cheers!
