Check if everything is working as normal first as rarely does it cause problems

I've fired the engine up whilst on hook-up but all was ok. My electrical system is CBE.

I too have done that without any problems. But it may depend what motorhome you have got. Some have more resilient electrical systems than others. So best to tell us who your converter is, and somebody with the same make may be able to give more information.

If you were charging the vehicle battery when you started it would blow a fuss but otherwise it should be ok

Hi and welcome to FUN. Hopefully you’ll be alright, unplug your EHU then see if things work on 12v. Your not alone, I’ve done as I’m sure have a lot of Funters. ?

Never occurred to me not to. I do it regularly at home and always have. I'd be interested in any explanation as to how it could do any harm.

Possibly not even then.My vehicle battery charges from solar and that doesnt blow a a fuse on starting ( actually a 30A circuit breaker as charging may total 20A plus if the sun is good.)

Do mine regularly, never heard of any problems and not encountered any either. (y)
