On the Cap Finistere - just a few MHs and caravans.
Just had breakfast which you collect yourself and eat with wooden cutlery..... but it was free
Apart from having to wear masks it seems many are just stopping in their cabins.
In Roscoff at the mo.
Change of plans and will drive the West coast of France in the next week heading for Dieppe.....
Stuff to sort at home

Is staying in a cabin the best option. In tha first Corona infection it was the on board A/C that was thought to be spreding the infection.

Mr B !
Haven't you realised that I don't believe almost anything the 'experts' have said about this flu:sneaky:....

Each person is deciding what's best for them I would sooner travel further in our own little box at the moment and take the tunnel. As for the aircon who knows.
We have a holiday let just in contact now with the cleaning company it's going to be impossible to rule out any risk and be up to them whether or not they take it. I wouldn't fancy staying anywhere apart from in our own beds (including the MH) at the moment neither would I consider indoors in a pub. Each to their own.

Well nothing much to report - even less to do than usual on the boat. Weather ok, sea calm - glad I've got my own kettle and mashing stuff. Folks wearing masks when walking about but many not when sitting down - nobody told off yet - crew pretty relaxed about everything saying things not getting back to normal on board until September

Why what happens in September?

Assuming he meant no masks, and service, entertainnment ( ) back to normal.

Let's hope so.
I'm just listening to the Director General of WHO.

Confused.com.

Our default setting when on ferries, long or short(ish) crossings is lie down in cabin except for meals and occasional perambulations, largely dependant on the weather. Don't do the so called 'entertainment' so won't be a lot different for us:Smile:

Sat in a layby recovering from the drive through Biarritz - hot, jammed, roadworks....

The drive along the coast from Bilbao to France was so different - good road lovely views of the beaches.....quiet

Apart from a temperature check on the boat - nothing - no check at the border.

Did a supermarket shop in Spain and topped up diesel (1.05 L) - mask on for both and a spray for hands (no gloves), no cleaning of trolleys or baskets - ok by me

30 bottles of Spanish loaded - 90 bottles of French wine to go (y)

Up in Saintes on the municipal site €10. Massive grassed area near the river, not many vans - mostly French of course. Toilet block open if anyone wants it. Friendly staff and you can leave anytime up to 12 tomorrow - no ' the gate opens at 7.00' lark

You can’t beat a private balcony on Pont Aven. But at £343 getting a bit expensive these days.

That’s what we go for too. (y)

It’s Commodore cabin on the Pont Aven or I am not taking the ferry.

I hate the other rooms.

Must admit £545 for a one way (including member discount) with van, inside cabin, no service, basic food and wifi extra left me feeling ripped off - don't think I'll be renewing
