All the gear, and no idea!
I find this hard to type Ady but the Harley looks better !
Of course it does, I do like some bms and the thing that yanks my chain is that for the money of the HD tourers it should bloody well come with ESA and the different mapping settings!! Thing with HD they rely solely on their history and heritage instead of putting useful kit on their bikes!!???

Reminds me of the old Cossack Deniper but much more expensive ?

As insults go that right at the top.

And probably less reliable! :whatthe:

How dare you post such offensive comments - the Cossack Deniper is better in every way?

What I want to know is, how small does your willy need to be, that you would want to ride that (any?) BMW ?

You leave my willy alone. One of the most fun bikes I've owned was a Scarver. I got ÂŁ1000 in part-ex for it, they're collectors items now.

I never touched your willy

I sold a Honda ST 70 monkey bike for ÂŁ1000 about 6 years ago & that's now a real collectors item (plus, it was so small it'll make even your willy look big by comparison) ?

Not much different from the R1200C apart from they've ditched the paralever front forks. They couldn’t sell that one either.

I’ve had loads of BMWs.. I like it but I did own an R1200C and love the Bagger so that’s not surprising

Just to clarify could you tour on it? Very unlikely unless you had a chiropractor following you, do you like wearing leather/denim and patches a a club that organises weekends away within 100 miles of your start point? Buy a Harley. Like bends and expensive service costs but not reliable? Buy Italian,! Bottom line buy something from Japan but watch out in the next 5 -10 years it will be Chinese, some very good bikes coming out of China at the moment and/or India only going to get much better

4 and many as a tugger
I'm thinking about ordering one tomorrow, why not, different and got to be more reliable than the Harley, I love big twins.
2 very small oil leaks on the Harley in 20 years, that's reliable enough for me.
Shame my Range Rover has not been so good

I've got a K1600GTL. Magnificent engine.

It wants putting in a trike so that you can actually use the engine. Lots of rear wheel steering.

You'll see one in front of me leaving Jerez, it didn't half look BIG.

Drop most bikes and they slide along on one side. BMW twins don't like to slide gracefully, they prefer to roll over again to trash both sides.

One of the occasions was doing a track day at Mallory, me and the bike slid for around 80 metres and I had time to worry about it flipping over..........it didn’t.?

PS was that recorded on a GoPro? or what?

It was a ÂŁ30 ebay square one, bit like an early GoPro. It even had WiFi.

To be honest, that exit was more exciting than the racing. And although I vividly remember the UK 1600 with middle aged couple on it I did not spot it on the video. It looked a monster to be footing it out of the gate. But what a beast to east up Spain in one gulp.

It was just brilliant that trip. Going it was a case of use every bit of tarmac with the cops organising it perfectly. Getting out you saw but later going north all the foot bridges had locals waving at us. Then we hit the Picos, also on a video, which is just perfection in mountain biking, little traffic and roads to die for.

I debate with myself, Spain or Italy. I think Italy wins on the basis of more variety as go from country to country. It's a close thing.

Italy was this year, in fact in two weeks, but something has got in the way.
