Try Darty or even the big supermarkets they maybe have the transformer models - although France used to be on different system to the rest of Europe. You might be better in Germany.

Auchan have this on their website

So supermarkets may be a good choice as @Stealaway says. If you are in one place for a few days they might be able to order for you on a sort of click and collect basis if none in stock.

Lots of motorhome dealers around, call in and see if they have one to suit you.
Here's a local one, Horizon Bordeaux, 46 avenue René Antoune 33320 Eysines

You don't say if it's for satellite or terrestrial. If for a satellite do you have an existing satellite receiver? You won't buy a freesat tv in France. TVs are expensive in France. Some UK retailers ship to France.

I believe France now ONLY transmits a full HD signal so make sure the tv can recieve full HD.
Absolutely correct
Our Avtex stopped working in France last year because all need full HD. Basically, Avtex said, tough.

So you have sat. dish, we have a spare 19" Cello with built in freesat the only thing we have not got is the bracket to screw to the wall or alternatively the foot that it could stand on if not fastened to the universal bracket which should be easily available even in France.

If you must have TV before you return to UK I think you should think carefully about lanesides very generous offer. If you can find a 12v TV in France with a built in satellite receiver it will be very expensive, and will require some effort to tune into Astra 2 UK channels.

Is your existing TV AN Avtex? We recently missed the last 3 days of Wimbledon and the British Grand Prix with ours. Avtex after sales is superb, but I'd much rather not need it.

On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
What I've always wondered is why tv's are always described in inches? What does 22 inches mean to a Frenchman? The same is true of tyre sizes.

Maybe it means more to a French woman ooh la la.

Very strange, have been here for years and certain things are measured in inches, must be a leftover from the war,maybe.;).

Electro-depot is another country-wide store. I have always used a tv which comes with its own 240v ac - 12v dc transformer/rectifier and just used the tv plugged in to the 12 volt socket. I don't know if they stock tvs with the inbuilt sat receiver though
