“We lost the fridge door going around that roundabout one year”.... I’m woken out of a light snooze to Mr Mousys reminiscing.. we are near Reading on our way to the tunnel. On a previous trip the tower Tec fridge door (heavy with too much stuff) flew open on a bend and crashed to the floor!
We managed to duck tape it back on.

We remember previous blunders...
2 weeks in France forgetting to pack any underwear.

The no maps, travel guides or aire books tour..

Hitting various inanimate objects on motorways with varying results..

We laugh and giggle then grow quiet as we contemplate this trip. Greece, it’s a long way, a very long way from our home in Wales. Down to Bari in Italy to catch the ferry to Patras then a mooch around the Coast probably keeping the sea on our right.

We have underwear, maps, 3 months and a miserable looking dog ......let’s do this..

We left Wales last Monday and arrived in Igoumenitsa late last night. But we’re heading off in the boat rather than continuing on in the motor home. Bit of a rush as we had to get here by today as we had work to do before she’s launched on Wednesday, but we will be taking it slower on the way back in July.
Safe journey, I look forward to reading about your adventures.

Have a brilliant time, with lots of fun in the sun. Millie will cheer up when she knows she's on her hollibobs!

Managed to be put on an earlier train, I’m sure mr mousy arranges for me not to shop in duty free!

No rush we’ve booked on the ferry 15th May. So we will chase the sunshine.

I can almost taste the French bread and cheese...
 
Route looks fab. If you’re spending time in Rome, remember not to take any bags and put your money/cards in a body belt wallet. Careful on the metro system - if the doors open again once closed and you’re all pushed in - it’s an experienced pick pocket team at work - with their team mate standing at the ticket machines .....

Once you’ve taken precautions all you have to do is fight off the hat and water sellers .... have fun! xx
 
If you get a chance, check out the amazing town of Alberobello, Puglia less than an hour from Bari. It's a UNESCO heritage site full of unique trulli dwellings and well worth a visit.
