Not sure if I’ve seen this one or posted it before :-) . Does anyone else think starting a motorhome wash (car wash like service ) would be a good idea . Or has someone already done it ?

There is one that I know of who is booked up many months in advance. He has a link with a campsite where you can stay while he valets your van.

Charges about £60, I think.

Dont like the idea of a power wash, especially used at an angle drives dirt into joints and blast sealers out.

even on cars, should be used at 90 degrees to the body, never at an angle.

Hand washing is always best on motorhomes, do you mean a motorhome wash where the van drives through with the brushing all swirling around?

There are just a few motorhome valeters that travel to you. A couple were members here for a while and well thought of

We have a ceramic treatment so not applicable but Snow Foam is meant to be the way forward. You apply with a power wash but only with a specific foam gizmo bottle that applies the foam at low pressure. Once applied you then just wash it off.

Had mine washed at a warner show i ended up with a cracked shower skylight and it took all the shine off he used snow foam. 1st and last time i will ever have it done.

Around here the Romanian`s will wash anything you ask if you take it to the drive through car wash.
Damn good job they do too

I noticed at Lincoln Motorhome Show, many of the motorhomes that were for sale, queued up the day before, to have their vans Snow Foam cleaned by a company on the site.

I agree. He did my previous van once when I was unable to do so. He did work hard at it but the end result was not very good.
Yet I am completely opposite. 🥴 I had mine washed and polished and Mike did an excellent job. If it wasn’t for covid, I would have had it done again this year.👍🏻 He came to the pub we were staying at as well. Would highly recommend him. 👍🏻

Not motorhome but John had his car valeted before he part exed it. we thought it was a good job, so did VW thought it had had some sort of coat on it. Thinking of having the Laika done if he will tackle it. no pressure hose used, ( inside was like new too) might have the doblo done but it might show up all the blemishes, still will then know where to put the decals ;)
