You said something like this beforeWe have sold our ‘70’ reg Elddis 175 and calling it a day motor-homing
Probably going to buy a static , either in Beyond….or just at the Back of Beyond
Any interest in my lovely little Fiat Panda TOAD, ready to go?.?

Make sure before you do so that you know exactly what the terms of purchase and sale are, as well as if you have to replace them due to age, and all the other hidden 'nasties' ... reading between the lines it seems as though you like loosing money on MHs but the loss you make on a static will likely be a hell of a lot more ... be careful.Probably going to buy a static , either in Beyond….or just at the Back of Beyond

That is the antithesis of what we are looking for, but thanks for the adviceYou won't get much change of scenery in a static
I know there are some lovely ones, but when I drive along the A55 north Wales expressway and see site after site with statics neatly lined up next to each other it makes me appreciate being able to go wherever I feel like
5 gold tents?Had 1x lodge, 3 statics, 2 caravans, and 4 motorhomes together with 1 bungalow/ flat in Spain in the last quarter of a century
Believe it or not, might do that AS WELLHave you thought of getting a large caravan and putting it on a seasonal pitch instead? That way if you get fed up of a site after a few years you can easily move it to another without all the extra expense/hassle of a static.
Why not try it first, that way you can see if you like the 'static' life before you commit to a permanent one.Believe it or not, might do that AS WELL

That's what we are in the process of doing, we are off to Spain in September to find a site. We sold the 1997 Hymer for £16k and bought a truly fabulous, unmarked, Fleetwood Heritage 560-4 caravan for £4500! I've spent £500 on new bits, reinforced the dodgy floor, and Jan made some new cushions for the lounge. Spent £650 on a two year old Isabella Dawn awning (£2400 new), and new decals completed the transformation.Believe it or not, might do that AS WELL
