As the UK networks are now stopping data roaming or charging per day from next year or end of contracts I thought I'd look into alternatives.

Has anyone tried these guys ? Spanish company all in English and no contracts.
Sounds pretty good so may give them a try next year

We use Hits Mobile and Simyo.....there are many others that come up on a Google search....choose a provider that serves an area you are going too...most are excellent even in the sticks....
There have been many previous threads on Fun that should provide good reading for you..

No problems with Superdrug mobile unlimited in Spain at the moment

Do people use a VPN if they want to stream UK TV using these Spanish plans?

We use Tiekom when we rent in Spain for 7/8 months over winter for both data and Spanish phone number. they are very good but I think the problem you may have is that they need a Spanish address to which they can associate and deliver the sim card. May be wrong but thats what we understand......shame as its a monthly allowance etc and the top up / renewal is done on line !

I do not think that's 100% correct!

Great thanks , few for me to check out nearer the time..we have a property in Spain for them to send a sim to although would prefer it sent here(UK) so we can have it all set up beforehand.
Just need a sim that can be topped up as and when. Usually over there fir a month in the summer and fortnight whenever.

The digi mobile sim you can turn into payg when you are not using it requires 5 euro's credit every 6 months but if you don't use it you don't lose it. I think you also need to make a chargeable event once every 6 months to keep it alive. The sim also supports roaming, cheap paygo rates.

Edited to add they send a text to remind you it needs topping up.

have you gone into the reality of 'unlimited' internet as its an unusual stance with most providers having fair usage clauses and limits on hot spotting etc. It sounds excellent as we pay 59 euro for 400gb / month which sounds a lot but is easily consumed when your streaming tv etc on a daily basis which to us is about 7 gb a day.

No I use my digimobile sim as a paygo sim so I have a Spanish number, but I find my online account easy to use swap between tariffs/top-up etc. The unlimited sim allows 15 gb roaming outside spain.
For internet whilst travelling I have a Superdrug sim which i use for the 3 months i am in Spain only problem is I have no signal in the UK where I live.

Expensive for data 35gb for 24 euros.
It may be. But I really only use it for making Spanish calls, receiving calls from Spanish clients (they won’t call a non Spanish number). I pay €12 per month and the data is a bonus

We use Simyo you can adjust and get what you need, they carry over any data you don't use. 👍😎 Bob

A paygo sim will only cost 10E/year phone calls cost 12cent connection and 2cent\min to landlines or 6cent/min to mobiles those prices are to UK or Spain
If you prefer a 30 day rolling contract 3 euros gets you 1GB data and 100 minutes to Spanish numbers
For 5 euros you get 3GB data and 100 minutes national and international numbers.
For 7 euros you get 5GB data and unlimited calls to Spanish numbers.

I will take a look at that

Do you have a link ?
Is there a specific bit you want a link to? This is the website if you scroll to the bottom you can select English. There should be a link to show shops stocking the sims, if they don't sell you the plan you want don't worry you can change it online when you set up your account. Also you can of course transfer number.
