Haughton, Staffordshire.... Few miles from M6.. on the A518 Stafford - Newport Road 4 miles out of the County Town of Stafford.. So much to see and do in the area.
Hard Standings + can take 2 RV`s - 4 Acre grass Field... No EHU`s but battery charging facility`s available.. Campers Wash Room/WC.
Even if a mate it will cost you 8.. (£8-00.) per night/unit

Looking at the cabin as I type! Navigatrice snoozing so I may need to play domino solitaire. Toilet opposite the cabin is also a posh addition for campers in need.

Maurice erected the new “wooden” signs prior to our arrival, as requested. Excellent service I would say.

If coming down the M6 from oop north beware your satnav. Mine took me off the motorway at Jn14? and directed us for over 7 miles through single track muddy farm lanes to Mo’s. The Jn south of Stafford (13?) looks as if it should be more civilised.

The Shropshire Inn just along the street has a bar, with “lite bites” served until 7pm. The adjoining restaurant has a plusher drinking area while awaiting a table. Busy on a Saturday evening. Sells Leffe for discerning beer drinkers (6.6%) but only the first two punters get proper Leffe glasses ;-)

Not done an update for three weeks..... I have not been sitting around on me bum doing nowt....

Had a few visitors over the last few weeks, and one who I have always admired but never met, and now have .... lovely family...
Daisy is in love with their dog, and spent most of her time sat outside waiting for her new playmate..
Do you recognise their Mo-home..?

Anyway.... having had a good few stay with us since we opened a few things have come to mind...

I made a big foo-far on pitch widths, I thought 10 foot would be wide enough............ Wrong......... needed to be wider... so I have widened them by 2ft each side so an extra 4 foot width..

The middle of the pitches are compacted MOT1 and a covering of a few inches of washed gravel,,, while the extra couple of foot either side has been dug out a membraine put down and 4-5 inches of washed gravel... so parking in the middle gives you 3 foot`ish to walk round your mo-home with out going on the grass, especially as it was when we had a small Easter meet.. Mud and water.. ......few photos ..

This shot gives an idea of how much more space you get..

First pitch all but finished, just got to run the digger tracks over to compress a little.. Netted in bit either side is newly seeded and it`s started to sprout.. (Net is to keep Daisy orf, she loves to dig up all the seed...

Marquee not blown down YET... still wet inside and grass is growing like mad..

Done a few days work on the hall, when it has been wet..

And kitchen fitters are on track to be finished next weekend...

Judy has been mustering up meals in the Mo-home.. I knew we bought it for reason..

Planted a few Conifer`s in the same shape as the Hard standings.. (Semi Circle) and ordered and being delivered Friday 4 Magnolia tree`s.. But Judy has said she is nicking 2.. so I only have 2 coming, for the CL part ...

That`s all for now... good weather forecast so hopefully ground will dry out...
