This may only be of interest to hard core foodies - I was sent a video link today of a (local to me) Michelin-starred chef cooking in an Adria Twin pvc.
It is a wide-ranging piece covering the massive kitchen garden at Barley Wood and the Ethicurean restaurant at Wrington, near Bristol; foraging for wild foods and preparing a gourmet meal in the van.
The knowledgeable and talented chef is Matthew Pennington, proprietor of the increasingly renowned Ethicurean Restaurant. Although we ate there some years ago, Mrs mikebeaches advises lunch is now £75 and the place is booked up for weeks and months ahead.
But for anyone in the vicinity, the lovely gardens are open to the public without charge. We were so inspired after watching the 45-minute video first thing today, we jumped in the car and drove over there for morning coffee and a wander round in the sunshine. Delightful, with great panoramic views over the Mendip Hills.
