What is the maximum amount of LPG you can take through the tunnel?
I have looked at their site but it is not that clear, it says 99ltrs but then says no LPG powered vehicles?
Or have I misinterpreted thisšŸ™‚

The only thing that you need to be concerned about is that its not powered by LPg

ASFAIK there is a limit of 100l but even if you re over this they re not going to check, all they seem interested in is that you ve turned it off, can you really see them crawling around with a tape measure and a calculator? I can't.

Fixed gas containers (tanks, etc.)

For the purposes of this text, this means fixed containers that are permanently installed or fixed in a vehicle and are refillable from outside the vehicle.
The quantity of gas is limited to 47kg (or approximately 93 litres) maximum for a single container and to 50kg (or approximately 99 litres) maximum in the case of several containers. Each container must be no more than 80% full.
The quantity will be checked via the gauge or remote indicator but if neither are present, the vehicle will be refused.

It may say the staff will check, well maybe they will check or most probably just ask if it is turned off. That's the UK side, the French show even less interest on most return trips!

That sounds dodgy, gas should only be stored in an area sealed from the hab area and must have a drop vent.
Why do you need the SafeFill when you have Gaslow?
We only have 2 x 11kg of Gaslow and not sure how long it will last as in the UK we can use 2 bottles in a fortnight ?

There's plenty of places to refill Gaslow bottles on the continent; we've got 2 x 11Kg as well and even when we used to go to Northern France in December only once needed to fill one of the bottles. We just make sure they are both full before we travel.

As Lenny HB says why the need for a SafeFill as well?

Probably being a bit belt and bracers as itā€™s our first time with the van in Spain

Unless you can transport the SafeFill safely in a sealed cupboard with a drop vent I wouldn't take it.
Well from whatā€™s been said on here I think gas is easier to get in Spain than here, so probably no need for the third bottle šŸ™‚

I can understand that the Tunnel consider LPG-powered vehicles a risk.

What will happen if they decide batteries in EVs are a risk? They could be out of business soon after the ban of sales of ICEs come in.

I notice that all the teslaā€˜s go in the high vehicle section, so possibly due to some risk?????
