Can anyone recommend a motorhome friendly site around this area?. Dont need childrens playparks!
Ideally as motorhomers we would like to be within easy walk or bus of a town. There seems to be several in the acsi guide but someone must have been there before
Thanks everyone

We always use Camping Rifort. A friendly family run site on the edge of town about 15 min walk to the beach or harbour. Although it's on a roundabout it is relatively quiet and there is a supermarket across the road, Lidl about 1/2 mile away. Site has swimming pool and a new bar, toilets and showers are cleaned a couple of times a day. Most pitches are serviced with an option for upgrading from 6 to 10 amps and wifi is available to buy. Bus stops nearby if you want to venture further afield.

We stopped on La Sirena a couple of years ago, couldn't fault it good sized pitches and easy for the town and beach.

L'Emporda just on the outskirts is a nice site it is an ACSI site however, we now love El Molina which is a little further out in the Els Griels area about a 15 minute walk along the beach/path to Estartit.
We like El Molina as it is reasonably priced and right on the beach, been going to this area for over 30 years and still like it.

We were going to stay at the ACSI site on the way in but missed it and found Rifort on the roundabout in town. Glad we did because it's an easy walk to the shops and beach. Electric would have made it expensive but was only about 17 euro for a basic grass pitch.
Look out for the cheap diesel opposite Lidl on the way in (y)

Another vote for Les Medes. The only one to open all year. Nice indoor heated swimming pool (they make you wear swimming hats!!). Some of the pitches can be a little tight for big MH's. Free Spanish Lessons twice a week. Nice modern Toilet blocks. Excellent for cycling both into town and surrounding areas. Nice Cycle ride inland to Toroella de Montgri for market day. Good access roads all the way from the N11 can be there in about 3/4 hour after crossing the border into Spain.
They are working hard to develop the beach and Marina area. €19 in ACSI. A little further out of town than some others but you can cycle to Lidl in 5 minutes.
