Jump starting packs.

By the way I don't sell them just use them, I must tell you I personally have never had a problem with a Noco but some recovery lads have they have a 3 year warranty I think halfords just take back with receipt straight swop with Noco they ask you to show the leads cut of and they send you a new one.

I jump started on a Noco directly to the motorhome battery. Judging by the timing I believe it damaged the ECU as the warning light came on straight after. I have read that the boost pushes too much power in. Since then I bought an identical vehicle battery and use this.
I have used it on other vehicles with no problems.

Sod the new wagons get an old one

I bought this today. Noco gb50, will start a diesel up to 4.5 litre

I have the Noco 70 in the van but when collecting salvage cars I take the Noco 40 in the salvage yards they turn on the headlights when they stack them to stop electrical fires so the batteries are dead flat we use the Noco 40 to release the breaks and to get out of park and then start them if possible the 40 will start most car's and vans.

Is emergency jump-starting using leisure batteries instant death to your habitation power supply?

Do the Noco packs have long enough leads to allow them to be used on the Ducato jump start terminals under the bonnet? (as opposed to using them on the underfloor battery).

Think they are about 15-18 inch long ? Might be on NOCO spec sheet so not very long but the unit 150gb is a quarter of the size of normal boost packs. Not had a problem using on RV or Comanche (Ducato) first van we had.

I bought this add-on for my MSC Overland + Starter pack. Never needed it

Definitely not. I have an old hab battery in the boot of my car for jump starting my various old vehicles. I've used it probably 15 times in the last two years and only had to charge it up a couple of times. It still holds a full charge.

My NOCO 1000A Boost Plus has short leads but is so small I can put it in my coat pocket or under the bonnet and connect the crocodile clips to the jump start connectors.
PS.
On my Murvi, there is provision on the hab. control panel so I can connect both starter and hab batteries in an emergency.

My Lad got a new car and left his old one round the back for 3 months, battery dead as a dodo.
got the noco today NOTHING...didnt even recognise the battery.
so in this case what you have to do is press the override function button 3 seconds below.
leave it, and then 30 seconds later car started, in minus 3 degrees...winner

You only need leads long enough to reach from one terminal of the battery, to the other. The noco pack its light enough to place it near the battery you assist.
