Talking to another couple today they said John’s cross have gone into liquidation as the went there and couldn’t get served

Yes this is sadly true. Long time Funster Peter, who owned JCMH died last year and we've all been wondering what was going to happen. I was hoping for a management buyout. The company has great staff and an excellent reputation for customer care.

Thought the shop was shutting for a week

What a shame:(

Hadn’t known that, so sorry to hear.
Have had a few things from them, always good service and very helpful.

That is sad news. Always found them very helpful. As an aside didn't one of Eddie's boys go to work for them?

Lets hope the excellent staff and service can be distributed around other parts of the industry to raise its game.. sad news indeed, we’ve bought a couple of small items from them and went for a morning looking at motorhomes some time back , they couldn’t have been more helpful.

That is a real shame. They were one of the nearest dealers to us. I have my motorhome booked in with them for a service in November. Ironically that was because the dealer I bought it from and who I used for servicing stopped trading last year. I must be jinxed.

Now I will have to find another one. Any body know a reliable alternative in the area?

The two dealers I have bought new vans from are now no longer trading - Becks in Norfolk and now John’s Cross.

I thought they were both great dealers and it’s a real loss to the motorhome community in the South East.

Can you let us know where you are going next Chris. Thanks ;)

Great shame. I bought my current and faultless m/h from them 8 years ago. They were brilliant then and with follow up service.

I wasn't aware Peter had passed away last year, so very sorry to hear that.

Although I haven't done business with the company - mainly because of geography - I was well aware of the excellent reputation it had for customer service and support. So again, very sad news to learn of the demise of JCMH.

Such a shame, only used them once on our return from Spain one year. Our awning gearbox failed so ordered one and they kept it for us so when we got back into England we were booked in. Had great service and while there bought from the well stocked shop with funster discount. (y)

It's a great shame and the loss of another competent and friendly company that I have used in the past.
Peter used to reply a lot, mainly to ring the workshop or the parts department for them to sort the problem, which I found amusing.

RIP Peter

You are obviously jinxed, stay away from my dealership 🤣

The number of motorhomes now in use,and the amount of repairs they need, one would have thought a good living could be made at it. Those dealers/repairers remaining seem to have long waiting lists most of the time.
