What a shame to let it just go to ruin im sure someone could give it a good home and spend their spare time faffing about
(Its nowt to do with me i just saw it on ebay in my constant search for the elusive cheap perfect tardis type van to tempt hubby with)

It looks to be a very large vehicle to be 3500kg. I would think the payload is quite minimal.

Especially after the wood is replaced it's going to be difficult to repair without adding weight

I wouldn't even look at it unless my mate ambulancekidd was there with me, he knows about these things and has a great example to show for it (y)
That E Bay advert looks like a good example of what Not To Buy

I've been lucky Les, mine was bone dry, but keeping on top of an elderly motorhome can be an inexpensive way of enjoying the great outdoors.
The seller isn't hiding anything, but I think his price is still a bit on the steep side for what is after all a gamble.

I'm busy renewing some of the sealant on our old Kon-Tiki but as a preventative measure, very easy job to do though.

Well done Robert, a great example of what you can get if you are patient, and prepared to tidy things up a wee bit.
Happy Travels mate.

Don't anyone tell Northernraider as he loves hopeless projects! 😄
You couldn't pay me to take a swift. My parents had practically that same van . They almost leased it to the local swim team for practice. Big piles of 💩💩💩

In France on our way to Spain for winter sun. :sun:

Our first motorhome in 2007 was a Swift kontiki the same model but a 1998, no leaks and solid, we went everywhere in it, changed in 2009 to a Eura Mobil that copped better with weather conditions. :Eeek:  Bob.
