248 mile round trip, and I am totally Cream Crackered... :crying:

Having driven 5 - 600 miles a day before... It has come as a shock... I could sleep for England.... don`t bode well for any trips away more than 150 miles from home in 1 day... :(

Anyway back to thread title..... Went to Lancashire all across the Yorkshire Dales... BEAUTIFUL SCENERY... just a shame I did not have my camera... :madder:

Did the usual on the van and after 2 - 3 hrs drove it away... ::bigsmile:

It`s only the 1905cc engine and it is a bit like a slug on long drawn out hills... Loves it at 60mph.. or below... Not happy above 60... sounds like the engine is being trashed... but hey ho.... when we go away we will not be in any hurry.. Happy with MPG return.... approx 34 to the gallon.. (y)

Judy loves the space in such a small motor.... and all the seats are dead comfy... we will opt for the single bed use then I wont have to put up with her farting all night...:giggler:

And she will be at home driving when most o the time I cannot..

Anyway the guy we bought it from bought it from a friend of his who`s wife had passed away,,, but they did not use it much in the 15 months he owned it... BUT...

He spent about 3 grand on having stuff put right ie.... New Clutch... Track rod Ends.... Cam Belt change... full service.... habitation check... 5 new tyres.... Checked over underneath (A very small bit had to be welded..).. and then all the under neath cleaned and sealed... Looks super...

And a few weeks ago he thought the cab looked a bit tatty... so he has had all the cab re-painted (Sprayed).. and all the windows and sky light rubbers renewed as he thought they looked a bit iffy... as said I have receipts for a few grand..

I`m pleased and it will enable us to get to some meets to annoy some of you... :Eeek::doh::rofl::rofl:

Anyway.... here are a few photo`s of our new Shed.. acquisition .. :giggler:

Enjoy your new shed! Loves like a little cracker.

We had a similar trip yesterday from Norfolk to Lytham St Annes and back. Set off just after Six in the morning and return with our New Shed, also eighteen years old just after Nine, Not as clean and tidy are your but it will make new memories for us as a family.

Love it Mo, nice looking van. Somewhere to eat and somewhere to sleep what more could anyone ask. Nice choice...

Nice one Mo, looks very good.
Did it come with any of the stuff you we’re looking for.👍

Yes, Mate..... 2 full Butane bottles... (I like Propane..)
2 EHU cable`s.... I have already got 4....

All the Auto Sleeper China from new... (No owner`s ever used the stuff..)

Elsan Fluid and loads of other bit`s and pieces...

We have chairs and tables... but it did come with a new outside table..

And all MOT`s and habitation sheets and service receipts for 18 years and all manuals.. (y)

We had an 02 Topaz, great build, looked as new when we sold it though I’m glad we didn’t have that engine!
I prefer that colourway on the upholstery, we had green, but our friends got that colour and it always looks good. We were always comfy in bed too, quality van.

sir-Mo

congratulations, looks a very tidy buy. Sincerely hope you’ll be happy and very lucky in your ventures.

have a bit of a vested interest in that sentiment,,,,,,, quite (but don’t tell) enjoy your jokes.

be safe and well, happy travels

Did you check everything Mo, cooker, fridge, heating, taps, water heater etc etc

It really does look in excellent condition for 18 years old.
