School reunion in Pontefract this evening

Just me going Caz isn’t coming, so I found a B&B right in the town for £45 including breakfast and a carvery roast dinner.

I’ve worked out that for just one night it’s so much cheaper than taking the Motorhome, fuel, camping, taxi there and back.

You are being sensible but it’s a sad reflection on costs in the U.K.

In contrast ;) our van was in the dealer overnight while Dometic looked at the air con unit and scratched their heads, we said we would go to a "Hotel"

Hotel £60
Coffee and cake £11.10
Drink and food on Spoons £24.40
Breakfast in Spoons £14.14

£109.64, so that is a good few miles even in our van OK we would have had to stop somewhere.

Paul, you have not told us the cost of getting from your moorland retreat to the B&B
Well I’m going in a diesel car Geoff that does 3 times the MPG of the Motorhome.

It’s 90 miles so 180 mile round trip.

£24.40 for drinks and a meal for two - that's pretty impressive Martin, always seems a lot more when we're with you :party3:

Not taking the MH to Mum's this time due to cost of fuel, camping fees and parking issues. So we will take the car, stay in a cheap Travelodge and have stress free parking when we take her out for a meal and shopping.

Travelodge cheaper than CAMC per night.

My mate has just rang he said it’s so much quieter on a weekend Ken since a big nutter called Paul moved away😄
I bet it’s long while since he was in any town centre boozer on a weekday
night, let alone a weekend.👮

Visiting friend in Bedford from home - 175 miles away. Fuel costs; MH = £115; car = £42. Mmm, which one shall I take??

Beautiful grub roast beef roast taties the full works, I’ve eaten some before I took the photo I didn’t want to seem a greedy bleeder.
