Hi does anyone have any ideas where we can get a wing mirror for our B694 SL motorhome thanks

It's says arcol and loads if numbers on it like E9 01 1005
E9 02 1005
E9 03 1001

Also

E9 01 1071
E9 02 1071
E9 03 1002

These numbersare taken off the left hand side mirror as right hand side was smashed by lorry hitting it.

I take you have contacted a Hymer dealer and had a price from them I broke the glass in ours and was told a new assembly would be £750 (it was also an Arcol) so I set out to find a supplier who supplied me with a genuine new glass for £55.

Hopefully Hymer don't have them made especially made for them and bear in mind it would not be colour matched and you might have to wait for it to come from Spain!
Worth a call,they have branches round the country although I dealt with our local one in Birmingham which is the main depot.

Thank rb62 will try them we have had one quote of £1150 blimey everything is so expensive but you got great deal there!! The lorry also took off our ormistor 4ft awning and quote for that is £850 not even started looking at paintwork yet!! Hence to say lorry didn't stop so nowhere to go with that!! Trying not to go through insurance as god knows what that will go up too

Looks like an Arcol Amida but not sure which one as the arm looks long.You can take the glass out of the good side to see if there are any numbers inside,see this thread,

as you say go through insurance and you'll be paying for it forever!

The arcol housing is made in Spain, I believe.

I had a similar experience with a lorry which smashed the mirror (bus type housing like yours).
Removed the mirror by gently prising upwards. Took it to a local autofactor and got a replacement next day for £30.
The mount was universal so had to modify that a tad - been on the van now for 5 years with no problems.
You need to order with 12v heating element, assuming the existing mirror is heated. Most bus mirrors seem to work on 24v.

Interesting comment about the insurance angle @Lynn price . The bill you have mentioned is £2,000. I doubt if the additional cost on your insurance over the next 5 years will come to £2k - and the headaches of finding the bits, getting the mirror casing colour matched, repairs to the bodywork where the awning was ripped off all become someone else's problem.

Ultimately it's your call but I'd be putting it through the insurance...
