I just opened the window in the lounge in our Hymer, pushed it open and it cracked on the top. almost like the hinge was seized. closed it again and the top is all cracked and broken. Any ideas as to where i may source a replacement?
Many thanks

Try some superglue ASAP, a lot cheaper

Peter
I think its a little late for that unfortunately. new one needed!!

Reliance Caravan and Motorhome Services have a very good reputation for sourcing spares. 01243 940050. They recruited the spares guru from Premier Motorhomes (Hymer dealer).

Have a look at your glass cover on your insurance .
I had cause to claim on a classic (Towegate insurance)£50 excess but a lot cheaper than new window made by a firm in Bradford ,fitted by Autoglass

We had to have four replaced on our Exsis as they had all cracked as usual just out of guarantee and Dometic said hard luck mate!
Cost around €1800 and that was only the actual Perspex not frames or blinds.

Thank you everybody for all your help, ill look into the most economical way to replace it next week.
To remove the window from the frame do i undo the stays, open the window right out and it should release?

As @Johns_Cross_Motorhomes suggests industrial grade superglue (the gloopy stuff) will do an invisible and lasting repair. I had one, broken full length from the hinge, by an attempted break-in. One of our more intelligent miscreants tried to break the window inwards :) and failed. The repair was going strong when I sold the van a few years later.

Try something called Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure first. It's a thin glue that seeps into cracks by magic I believe. It might not be strong enough but probably worth giving a go. It's the kind of stuff you can find loads of uses for and should be in every Motorhomers tool kit.
