Sad to see our Hymer on a breakdown truck, drove to an Aire yesterday without any real brakes, hoped I could fix it but no. Rear wheel cylinder leaking really made. :cry:Garage getting parts tomorrow morning and doing it straight away.

Sorry to hear of your problem. I had exactly the same issue in France a number of years ago. Had to replace rear cylinders (thought best to replace them both rather than just the one which failed) and contaminated brake shoes. Cost twice as much in France than could have it done in UK.

Yes in UK I would have done it myself.

At least you have enough knowledge not to get your trousers taken down, very best of luck for quick and hopefully not too expensive repairs ?

I had a similar age Hymer (2002) and owned for 10 years from new. Had the 2 front wheel bearings replaced in Spain (40k miles) and a rear one in France. No problem with the brake cylinders. Hope you get it sorted soon without too much damage to the bank balance

We ended up with our Hymer on the back of a French recovery wagon last year, cracked fuel filter!
