Morning,
Elddis 2015 105
The high brake light has stopped working at the rear so question is: is it a simple job to replace I have been told that it is a sealed unit?
And also if this has happened to anyone what was the cost to buy a replacement?

Many Thanks

I bought a replacement for mine from ebay then fitted it with led's as it came with halogens. This was a Hella unit.
A photo might help

Thanks for reply, mine are halogens apparently and was yours a sealed unit?

Do a Google search for JOKON LED REAR HIGH LEVEL and choose the one that matches yours.
Ours is stuck on with sealant and a couple of screws for good measure. It's just a two wire connection.

Thanks T on T

Ours has gone very brittle with lots of cracks in it. Just removed it, had to lever it off the sealant where the wires go through, there is no play in the wires and fortunately they've snapped off the LED board so there's 10mm sticking out the van to solder onto.

Just tested the strip and only half of them work anyway, there's a couple of rotten smd resisters open.

I've seen the JOKON replacements on ebay at £48 😳 JOKE-ON 😏

Ordered a £10.99 one that gets a couple of good reviews on amazon. It's bigger than the original so will cover up the whole of the indentation where the old one sat, old silicone and any holes.

New one arrived, seems OK, tested it with the old one to compare brightness..

They're surface mount LEDs

I'll have a look at fitting it after lunch, there's a stub on the back needs taking off first.

The capping has cracked where the cable goes through, don't think there's anything I can do with that 🤔 think it's only capping to make the joints look nice though.

Hi Both, Please can you send me a link to the LED light you purchased. I need to replace mine.
