I phoned adac but they won't help, says it's not a breakdown which technically it isn't.
I came to a pub britstoppub last night and had a meal and tried to leave but the car park has a steep incline to get out and I cannot get out, IT KEEPS SLIIPING AS IF ON GRASS,IT'S VERY WET TARMAC.The owner of the pub came out and gave it a go as well but couldn't make it so it will be a pull out with some kind of heavy vehicle.
Any of you know how I can get one, it's not desperate for tonight but I need to get out for tomorrow as I have an appointment with motor home solutions in cricket st Thomas.
I'm in Wadeford Somerset behind the pub, CAN ANYONE ADVISE ON THIS PLEASE?

Surely the owner knows some one with a long rope ...

Wont need much to pull you out....

If it is a manual box try putting it it second gear and not too many revs..

The pub owner came out and tried to drive it out himself as he though with me being a woman couldn't do it be he couldn't either!
He blamed it on the drive mechanism and kept trying until the front wheel was smoking.
I believe there is oil on the tarmac.

Assuming front wheel drive ,if you have room to turn around ,and with someone guiding you ,you could try reversing. Up the slope (lowest gear) slowly .
If you were closer could possibly have helped .hope you get sorted

We got totally stuck on wet grass once and a lorry driver got us out and made it look so easy. Very gentle on the revs and very slowly off the clutch is the way...... good luck.

Surely someone in the pub will have a Landrover that could pull you out, wished we were closer would have done that for you x

It's a very narrow curving entrance so reversing uphill wouldn't do it. I had to take it careful coming in.

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
Bits of old carpet, any sand, lumps of cardboard, any small type branches, leafless hedge trimmings etc. Basically, anything that you can get between the wheels and the tarmac. Even several thickness of newspaper, if it is not raining.

wave down the first old landrover you see , they will most likely give you a pull . They are usually more than happy to help . I do frequently .

looking at that drive momentum will sort it , just get someone to ensure nothing is coming in and get a run at it , crawling isn't going to work as you have found out .

It's raining now, the tarmac is wet and slippery from oil I think.

Stand three or four fat locals on the front bumper, but be careful not to run them over...unless they are wearing good grippy clothes as that could help create more friction.:D
Other than that,as already has been said...let tyres down.
Can’t you take a run at it if others stand in the road to stop traffic?
But local with tractor or 4 b 4 is better option.

I and the owner has taken several runs at it but the wheel especially the left one won't grip and the whole van shudders to a stop, He had taken quite a bit of rubber off my front tyre trying, even his wife told him to stop as she could see the smoke belowing out of the one wheel.
